Missy Books – Review & Giveaway

I have to say that this is an ashamed plug for a very talented friend of mine.  Victoria Jones is passionate about literacy and children…she loves to see children delight in reading. You can check out details of all her books at her website Missy Books Online.

Victoria has written and selfpublished 5 books to date – each one a pure delight!  If you are blessed to live in Wellington, you can currently purchase her books at Made It (103 Victoria St) or at the Pop Up Shop (253 Wakefield Street until 30 Nov 2011).  Victoria will also be at the Underground Market (Under Frank Kitts Park, Wellington Waterfront) on Saturday 3 December and Saturday 17 December. If you do not live in Wellington, you can buy them through Missy Books Online, at Felt or how about outbidding me on this fantastic, too good to be true Trade Me Auction. (Closes 20 November)

Her very first book Missy’s Dog Wash is all about Missy and her scheme to earn some pocket money.  It is written in beautiful rhyme and with stunning, fun and vibrant pictures.  Dare I say it, it may have inspired a money making scheme or two in our home. Giveaway – I have one copy of this book to giveaway. To enter the draw, please leave a comment below why you want to win this giveaway.

Victoria’s latest book, A Gannet Named Grace hit the bookshelves on 7 November.  Written in rhyme with beautiful illustrations, by the talented Lynne Parsons. The book is informative and full of fantastic humour and great facts about gannets.  It features the wonderful Gannet Beach Adventures at Cape Kidnappers. This gorgeous book would make a fabulous gift this Christmas.

If you would like to keep up with the happenings – Appearances, New Releases and specials at Missy Books.  I suggest you pop over and say hi to Victoria on facebook.

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway! It closes on Thursday 24 November @ 9pm.
